Libraries Are for Everyone: Hafuboti
Summer 2022 Updates
It's time for Summer Reading! Students should read one book out of the six titles offered for their grade. You are able to borrow these books from Sora (ebooks & audiobooks) or your local library, or purchase at a bookseller. Click on the links below for the lists!
Sora is a free way to borrow ebooks and audiobooks, and it's a service that Rising Tide provides. Click here to watch a short video to learn how to log in.
You sign up for Sora at www.soraapp.com. You can read books within the web browser, send ebooks to Kindle devices, or you can also download an app and read on a phone.
Welcome to the Rising Tide Charter Public School Library!
Your school library offers a wide variety of physical and digital resources. You can check out books in-school, and you can also access thousands of eBooks and audiobooks via Sora. (Sora is the school library equivalent of Libby, and you can log-in by selecting Rising Tide and using your school email address.) Students also have the ability to access many scholarly resources via our digital databases — just visit this page or ask for help!
Students in the sixth and eighth grade have library skills class three times a week for one term, during the Elective block. Other students might visit during their ELA classes or during Advisory. The library is open for browsing throughout the day, with the exception of the Middle School Elective block, and it is also open before school and after school.
In addition to our literary and research materials, we now have community puzzles, coloring materials, and KEVA blocks.
Stop in to say hi! I would love to meet you and show you the resources that the library has to offer. And if you have an interest in volunteering, please let me know!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Stellman
