Ririe District 252 - 2020 Bond_Site Plan_ALL OPTIONS_REVISED.pdf

The following is a list of possible building projects the district is looking at for the upcoming school bond. The projects are depicted on the map above and are designated A-H. Each project has a short description listed below. As a district, it is not possible to complete all of the projects on the list, so we are seeking input from the community.

In addition to the building projects, several maintenance projects need to be completed soon. The projects include an upgrade to the HVAC system at the elementary school, replacement of the track at the high school, repair and replacement of sidewalks at the high school, and replacement of the elementary parking lot. Please take a few minutes, review this information, and participate in a short survey at the bottom of the page. Please direct any questions to Superintendent Jeff Gee at (208) 538-7482.

Structure A - Bus Garage (High Priority)

  • Estimated 8,125 Square Feet
  • The bus garage will replace our existing facility. Our old facility is outdated and beyond repair.
  • The bus garage is a high need for the school district at this time.

Structure B - Wrestling Room (High Priority)

  • Estimated 5,416 Square Feet
  • The wrestling room will be connected to the west end of the existing gym and provide a space on campus for our wrestling team. The new structure will include space for two full-size mats and additional bathrooms (building code). No additional locker rooms are planned for this structure.
  • The old gym where the wrestlers have practiced in the past has been closed due to mold and structural issues, so a wrestling room is currently high on our priority list.

Structure C - Wrestling Room/Weight Room

  • Estimated 10,860 Square Feet
  • The wrestling room will be located north of the existing gym and connected to the building near our current locker rooms. The structure will include space for two full-size mats, a new weight room, and additional locker rooms.
  • The new space will allow us to convert the old weight room into a classroom.
  • Additional locker room space will provide an area for visiting teams to change, and allow us to separate junior high and high school students during the school day.

Structure D - Attached Auxiliary Gym

  • Estimated 11,366 Square Feet
  • The auxiliary gym would be an addition to structure C and provided additional gym space for our athletic teams.

Structure E - 4 Classrooms

  • Estimated 6,320 Square Feet
  • The four new classrooms will be attached to the north end of the building. The classrooms will provide additional space to solve our overcrowding issues, and one or two of the classrooms will be designed as science classes.

Structure F - Entryway/Lunchroom Expansion

  • Estimated 3,277 Square Feet
  • The structure will be added onto the main entrance of the building to expand our lunchroom , improve our building security, and create a larger common area for our Jr/Sr High School.

Structure G - Free Standing Auxiliary Gym/Wrestling Room

  • Estimated 22,677 Square Feet
  • The free-standing auxiliary gym will be located south of the Jr/Sr High School parking lot. The structure will include the auxiliary gym and a wrestling room.

Structure H - Elementary School

  • Estimated 33,500 Square Feet
  • New Elementary School - Grades could range from PK-3, PK-4, or PK-5
  • A new school would allow more playground space for the elementary kids, safer drop off of students, and spare classrooms in all buildings for future growth.
