Ripley esports began in the fall of 2023. Dr. Hayden Harrington, SWOSU ESPORTS Director and OKSE board member, provided Mrs. Burch the necessary guidance to get the Ripley esports program off and running.
Ripley participated in OKSE in the fall playing Rocket League and finished as the High School Rocket League State Runner Up in the Scissortail division.
Ripley esports exists to provide students an avenue for competition while expanding opportunities for growth in teamwork, communication and leadership.
Ripley esports also makes every effort to include games that will give students an opportunity to earn scholarships and a shot at playing at the collegiate level.
Teamwork and effective communication skills translate directly into workforce expectations. Players are expected to be the best representations of themselves and Ripley School.
Students are expected to display dedication to the team and their coursework through the following:
Dependability
Responsibility
Punctuality
Respect for team, teachers and students
