We are Rio del Sol PTSA
Rio del Sol PTSA is an organization made up of parents, teachers, students, and staff volunteers. We support the Rio del Sol K-8 STEAM School.
We help facilitate community participation at Rio del Sol through creating events, fundraisers and community nights.

PTSA stands for Parent Teacher Student Association. PTSA is a volunteer association where parents, educators, students, and other citizens can be active in their schools and communities.
Why is PTSA important?

Builds community through events while raising funds
that directly impact student lives and our school community.
Some of these past events have been family movie nights, skate nights, field trips, Trunk or Treat and Rainbow Run!
PTSA board vs member-at-large
PTSA board vs member-at-large
PTSA members are the “association” and play an important part in conducting the business of a PTSA. By participating in association meetings, general members have the opportunity to make motions, provide input on agenda items and make collective decisions by voting on actions for a PTSA.
They also vote to approve programs and activities recommended by the executive board. And they are responsible for adopting budgets and financial reviews as well as approving the expenditures of a PTSA.
The executive board includes the slated officers, the chair of standing committees, the teacher representatives, and the principal of our school .
