Spring Break Activities 4/6/20-4/17/20
Spring Break Sock Puppets- Here is a fun and creative Do-it-yourself project….
Find an old pair of socks or a sock who has lost its partner.
Find items around your home to attach to your sock for eyes, nose, ears, mouth, hair, horns, teeth, etc.
Give your new puppet a name and characteristics
What is your puppet….a dog? Unicorn? Princess? Super-hero? One-eyed monster? Use your imagination!
What does he/she like to…. Eat? Do? Play?
Where does your puppet live?
Now make up a narrative from the perspective of your puppet (pretend you are the puppet) Remember to include the elements of a Narrative….Character(s), setting, events (beginning, middle, end). Use your journal to write your narrative and draw a picture of your story. Use the story map and rubric tools to help you!
Send a picture of you and your sock puppet to your teacher or complete the activity on seesaw!
Have fun! We can’t wait to hear your stories. You will have the chance to share them when we return from Spring Break
