Hoping you are well, I am a Customer Success Manager here at RingCentral. We are following up on communication sent to customers to ensure they are properly registered for SMS/TCR Compliance.
Please note this is a time-sensitive request as any number that isn’t registered with a brand-specific campaign will have SMS disabled effective March 31st.
To ensure the continued deliverability of your SMS messages, it is essential to register your Brand and describe your SMS usage via the carrier-required TCR registration process. Prior to successful registration, you may continue to see an impact on message deliverability as mobile carriers work to reduce spam across their networks and inspect unregistered traffic.
Background: In 2021, mobile carriers imposed new restrictions on business SMS traffic sent from text-enabled phone numbers, known as “10DLC,” in line with industry requirements set out in the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
All customers using SMS must now self-register with The Campaign Registry (TCR) or their SMS traffic will be blocked by the mobile carriers, whether you plan to use SMS for customer text campaigns or general conversational purposes. This is not a RingCentral requirement specifically – it impacts all providers. You can learn more about these changes here.
There are 3 steps to a successful TCR Registration:
Register the Brand (takes up to 2 hours after submission)
Register the Campaign (can take up to 20 days)
Add your phone numbers to the Registered Campaign
