Dormitory Fee for Fall 2026: Approximately 460,000 yen

The dormitory fee includes rent, a common service fees.
In addition to dormitory fees, the following costs below will apply.
For the students who are enrolled at Rikkyo for a full-year, contract renewal is required each semester through the prescribed procedure. The maximum length of residence is two semesters.
Rikkyo University subsidizes a portion of dormitory fees. The amounts shown are after deduction of the university subsidy.
Additional Costs per month:
Internet Fee: 3,960 yen / month (tax included)
Water Fee: 1,650 yen / month (tax included)
Electricity Fee: 7,150 yen / month (tax included)
Optional Meal Plan: approx. 20,000 yen / month (For users only)
*A separate payment handling fee will be charged in addition to the monthly costs listed above.
Other costs:
Fire Insurance Premium: 3,000 yen (one-time payment upon moving in)
Optional Bedding Lease Fee: approx. 30,000 yen (For users only, covers 6 months)

You can apply for a urethane mattress and a 7-piece bedding set together.

RUID offers breakfast and dinner prepared in the dormitory.
Meal plan fee: Approx. 20,000 yen per month (tax included)
Notes:
Please note that meals are not provided on Sundays, national holidays, or other dates specified by the dormitory. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, and other special dietary accommodations are not available.
Changes to the meal plan contract are limited to once per academic year.
For students arriving in the fall semester, there will be a period in year-end and new year when meals are not provided.
Even if you do not opt for the meal plan, each private room is equipped with a small electric cooker and refrigerator, allowing you to prepare your own meals.
If you have specific dietary preferences, you can use the kitchen in your room to cook for yourself.

Resident Supporters (RS)
Rikkyo University arranges for Resident Supporters (RS)—Rikkyo University students who assist international students in their daily lives.
Two RSs are stationed at RUID Shiki to support international students with both daily activities and their studies in Japan.
