Comfort Ikebukuro is an apartment complex where other residents besides Rikkyo University students reside. Unlike the other dormitories, a manager is on duty only in the day time.You will receive an explanation on rules and a key from the management company, and then move in to the dorm. We expect Rikkyo students to respect others and keep good manners.

Access to the University ・To Ikebukuro Campus　 about 3 minute on foot

・To Niiza Campus　about an hour from Ikebukuro station by train and on foot

Student Commuter Pass s (as of July 2023):￥4,250 for 1month, ￥12,120 for 3 months, ￥22,950 for 6months 

Apartment manager Apartment manager is on duty during the following office hours:Monday to Saturday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Floor Co-Ed Floor only. Since Comfort Ikebukuro is an apartment-type dormitory, there are no space in the apartment where students can interact with the other residents. 

Room facilities One bedroom 21 m2 / Prefabricated bath and toilet, air conditioner, bed (with mattress), desk, chair, closet, kitchenette, refrigerator, washer, curtain, lamp, shoe box, Internet, TV terminal, etc... 

・There is a public phone placed on the first floor. 

Common facilities Mail box, Garbage Pit, Bicycle Parking lot, Elevators, etc... 

・In case of emergency, you can call a 24-hour support line (bilingual staff are on duty) for assistance. 

【Study Period】 【Contract Period ・Dormitory fee special price※１】

・Spring Late March – July 31 (4 months)　 Approximately  ￥346,433

・Fall September 1 – February 29 (6 months)　Approximately ￥461,200

※1　The dormitory fee includes the fire insurance fee, cleaning fee, key replacement cost and utilities and internet fee.

※2　If you wish to reside in the dormitory for one academic year, you need to make a payment for the additional dormitory fee as follows.

・If you continue to reside from spring semester to fall semester

　　The dormitory fee (approximately ￥506,800) for August to February (7 months) must be paid by the end of July.

・ If you continue to reside from fall semester to spring semester

　　The dormitory fee (approximately￥362,000) for March to July (5 months) must be paid by the end of February.

※3　Special international students  can stay at the dormitories at a special price. This is because Rikkyo covers a part of the dormitory fees. 

The optional service (bedding rental) fee is payable after you arrive in Japan at convenience stores in cash all at once. Credit card payment is not available. 

◎Bedding set ○

All of the Comfort Ikebukuro residents must purchase bedding sets (￥4,500 or ￥11,000). The details of the bedding sets and payments will be announced  after the decision to enter the dormitory has been made（around early February).. *The price is subject to change.

・After receipt of application, cancellation will not be accepted, and there will be no refund for cancellation.

・Bedding sets (￥11,000): a comforter, a pillow, a thin mattress, a storage bag, and fitted sheets.

◎Meal Plan ×

Meal are not served at Comfort Ikebukuro. Each room comes with a mini kitchen and kitchen appliances, such as a refrigerator, a microwave, and an IH cooking heater. Students, however, need to bring or buy utensils and tableware for cooking and eating. You will need to properly dispose of things you brought/bought when returning to your home country.
