Call for Papers: IAPH 2025 Tokyo Conference
Theme: East-West Women Philosophers
The International Association for the Philosophy of Humanity (IAPH) invites papers for its 2025 conference in Tokyo, Japan. The conference theme is "East-West Women Philosophers."
We welcome papers and workshop proposals from all areas of philosophy that explore the work of women philosophers from both the Eastern and Western hemispheres. We are particularly interested in papers in the following areas, but those from a wider range of related topics will be considered:
Examine the contributions of women philosophers to philosophical thought: approaches from any areas of philosophy, history of philosophy, and history of science will be considered.
Compare and contrast the philosophical traditions of East and West: cultural studies, sociology of philosophy
Investigate history of women philosophers in a local/regional community: also women in history of scientific thought
Explore the ways in which women philosophers have addressed issues of gender, identity, and social justice
Highlight the work of underrepresented women philosophers
Individual papers:
Please send an abstract of 400-600 words with the format.

Workshop proposals: each workshop slot will be for 2 hours.
