If your payment was insufficient you will receive an invoice at the dorm mailbox for the remaining balance after your arrival in Japan. You must make a payment immediately in accordance with the invoice. Payment will be available by international bank transfer, credit card, cash at a convenience store or electronic money valid in Japan by scanning the QR code on the invoice.
If you are planning to ship your luggage to the dorm, you may send them prepaid and only if they are to be delivered after your arrival.
You need to move into the dorm during the designated one day (late March for spring enrollment; early September for fall enrollment).
The dorm manager will provide a dorm orientation shortly after your moving-in. Students are able to ask any questions on the spot that they may have about living in the dorm.
Meals are not served at the dorm. Kitchens are not installed in each room but there is one large shared kitchen on the 1st floor. Please be considerate of others when using the kitchen.
A curfew is not set for residents in DK House Nerima. However, we strongly recommend that you return to the dorm before it gets too late for your own safety.
The entrance door locks automatically. Residents are provided with a keycard. Each room does not lock automatically.
You must take off your shoes when you enter DK House Nerima and you need to wear slippers/indoor sandals. If you don’t have time to buy any upon arrival, it may be better for you to bring a pair.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the dormitory. The smoking area is situated on the left side of the entrance, at the door with the numeric keypad. Please notify the manager if you are a smoker.
There is an elevator in the building.
It is a single room with a bed (without a mattress), air conditioner, refrigerator, desk, chair, bookshelf, closet, internet connection point (wired and Wi-Fi) and curtains. Showers and restrooms are not placed inside private rooms. Showers are on the 1st floor and separated by gender. Restrooms are on each floor.
High density environments such as dorms sometimes have too many users for the available bandwidth. Please understand that the internet connection can get slow due to such reasons especially at night.

Laundry rooms are located on each floor.
Heaters that may cause a fire are not allowed. Please ask the manager before you bring a heater into your room.
You can basically use an electric kettle or a coffee maker, but please ask the manager before you bring them into your room.
Male residents are not allowed to enter the female floor (3rd floor). Other than that you can visit your friend’s room in the dormitory.
Visits by friends and family shall be between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. Please submit a “Visitor Entrance Form” to the manager.
*Please use your room to meet with any visitors. Visitors should refrain from needlessly entering the shared facilities but you and your visitors can meet at the shared facilities as long as you don’t bother other residents.
Your parents or friends are not allowed to stay over your room. A guest room is available for relatives only and with payment of an accommodation fee.
There are three resident supporters (Japanese or degree-seeking international students at Rikkyo University) who reside in the dormitory. They live in the dorm and support your dormitory life.
