The support of our community is crucial to the success of Rhode Island History Day. For this reason, we provide a variety of opportunities for individuals and organizations to provide financial and in-kind support. If you would like to learn more about becoming a sponsor of Rhode Island History Day, please contact RIHS Senior Director for Advancement & Public Engagement Sarah Carr at scarr@rihs.org.
Organizations and individuals are also invited to support a Special Award as part of Rhode Island History Day. These awards are given in the Junior and Senior categories and typically recognize outstanding projects whose topics are related to particular themes or whose research or project reflects the use of specific archival materials. A list of our current special awards can be found here.
Awards generally range from $100-$150, reflecting a total contribution of $200-$300 to support awards in both categories. Special Award supporters are asked to evaluate projects that qualify for their awards and to present the awards during Rhode Island History Day.
If you are interested in creating a Special Award, please contact RIHS Senior Director for Advancement & Public Engagement Sarah Carr at scarr@rihs.org.
