Katie Orpet

Hello!

My name is Katie Orpet. I started teaching Visual Arts in 2011, and I am excited to now be part of the team at Ridgway Secondary School.

I enjoy getting to know my students and learning more about their artistic styles and interests, and I aim to create a space where they can take risks, try new things, and hopefully find something in art that they love!

In my own art practice I spend most of my time creating functional pottery and when I'm not doing pottery or teaching, I love to adventure with my husband and dog.

An important aspect of education is working as a team and community for the growth and learning of our students, and I want to partner with you to help your child be successful. Please don't hesitate to email me if you ever have questions.
