Kristen Bushaw

Hello!  My name is Kristen Bushaw and I have been a science educator here in Colorado for the last 17 years.  I am passionate about science!!  I feel a profound responsibility to inspire our next generation of doctors, researchers, and engineers.  The thing I love the most about science is that it is never ending, there is always something new to explore and learn.

For 12 years I had the honor of teaching Advanced Biology and Science Research Seminar at Broomfield High School, but in 2020 my family and I decided to do life a little bit different.  We bought an RV, pulled our kids out of in person school, and traveled around the U.S for the last 6 years.  In 2025 as our kids transitioned to middle and high school we decided to head back to in person school and joined the community of Ridgway. 

I chose the school of Ridgway Secondary for my own kids because of the vast experiences and intimate learning opportunities they provided.  In 2026 when a science position was available here I jumped at the opportunity to join this amazing group of educators.
