Jenny Brown

My name is Jenny Brown and I have been in education for 16 years. I worked in Denver for most of that time as a 6th and 8th grade science teacher, ELD teacher, and middle and high school administrator. My family and I moved to Ridgway in 2025 and I am thrilled to get back to the classroom and do science with the middle schoolers of Ridgway!

Science is one of my favorite contents, both as a learner and a teacher. Why not support language, literacy, and numeracy while learning all about the world around us?! I am thrilled to be teaching with the San Juans right out my classroom window and love bridging experiential learning with deep and curious classroom experiences. When I'm not at school, I'm with my two spectacular children, husband, and big dog Oso - you can find us biking, skiing, hiking, running, or camping most weekends. I'll also look for any minute I can to escape into a good book and, as my students have already discovered, I'm usually drinking a good cup of coffee.
