Hello! My name is Gavin Lindsey, and I’m a proud Western Colorado native. This year marks my first in the classroom as a teacher, and I couldn’t be more excited! After spending the past 18 years as a student, stepping into the role of educator is both a natural next step and a longtime dream come true.
In May 2025, I graduated from Harvard University with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy & Economics. While I loved my time in Massachusetts, I felt a strong pull to return to the Western Slope—both to reconnect with my home community and to share what I’ve learned in meaningful ways. My passion for sustainable agriculture and the natural landscape made the decision to return home even more rewarding.
During my time in Cambridge, I had the opportunity to serve in several roles that helped shape my approach to education. For three years, I served as a Peer Advising Fellow, mentoring and supporting first-year students as they transitioned into college life. In my final year, I worked as a Mentor with the Harvard Ed Portal, where I helped design and deliver educational programming for the underserved community of Allston-Brighton.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up on the Western Slope, to have attended my dream school, to have lived and learned abroad, and now to bring it all full circle by giving back through science education. I look forward to inspiring curiosity, fostering growth, and learning alongside my students every day.
