The RHS Recording Studio is OPEN. Book your studio time in our NEW VOCAL BOOTH TODAY!
ALL DEADLINES MUST BE EXPRESSED BEFORE BOOKING!
This includes song/album release dates, events, etc!
***Please note - We are now ACCEPTING DONATIONS for your recording sessions to help purchase new equipment, plug-ins, and purchase publicity materials***
Preparing for your recording session:
Make sure you or your group is very well rehearsed. Not everything can be fixed in the mix. You will get a much better recording if you are rocking out to your song in the studio, not playing it for the first time while you are here!
Bring extra sets of strings, picks, cables, etc
Don't be late. Respect the studio's time as well as your own!
Try to have your BPMs (tempos) worked out before your session (if you are using a click track).
Do you want to do an overdub or a live take? Overdubbing means you record over a track played back for you that you either sent us in advance or also recorded during your session. Doing a "live take" means that you and your band are playing all together and we are capturing everything in one recording. (Of course, we can overdub over that as well if you wish.)
What you should expect from us during your session:
We will have the studio set up for you upon your arrival. If you bring your own amp or other equipment, we may adjust according to your group or setup.
There will be a producer, recording engineer, and at least one studio tech present during your session to help out.
At the beginning of your session, we will do a sound check to get levels.
You can do multiple takes of your song(s) during your session. Spontaneity is encouraged, but remember to manage your time!
What to think about after your session:
Mixing and/or mastering is available should you want to purchase those services. If you are interested, please visit our equipment & services page.
If you want to do your own post-production, we can send you the unedited stems (individual track files) right after your session. (Via Google Drive is preferred).
REMEMBER: credit must be given to the RHS Recording Studio in writing for your release, whether that is in your social media posts or official album credits.
Don't be intimidated by these "rules." Recording sessions are meant to be fun, so don't forget to relax. After all, that's what will bring out your best performance!
