Handbook
Take Home Folders
Each day your child will be bringing home his/her take home folder. This folder will be your child's folder to keep all year. The most important thing to remember about this folder is to make sure your child brings this folder to school EVERYDAY!
This folder is very special and needs to be taken good care of. Your child will be bringing home papers completed in class and I will also be sending papers home throughout the school year to communicate with you.
Inside the folder you will see the following stickers on the pockets; back to school and leave at home. This will tell you what papers/books need to stay at home or be returned to school.
Sight Words
These are the words the kindergarten students should know how to read and spell fluently before first grade. We will practice these words at school the whole year through and you can also practice at home. There are many fun ways to practice these words including the use of: chalk, flour, sand, shaving cream, paint, magazines, and books.
