About Mrs. Simms

My Family

My family and I have been Ridgefield residents since 2012. My husband Ryan is a plumber by trade, and is also a Longshoreman out of the Port of Vancouver. Rylie (20) is persuing a career in nursing and is currently working as a CNA. Hayden (17) is an 11th grade student at RHS. We love Ridgefield and are proud to be Spuds!💙🧡

My Education

Born and raised in SW Washington I graduated from Mark Morris High School in 2001. I attended CWU, and graduated with my BA in Family and Consumer Sciences in 2005. I completed my MEd from Grand Canyon University.  

My Experience 

I have 6 years industry experience in Early Childhood Education. My years with RSD began as a substitute teacher, then high school advisor at WRA, to my current teaching position at RHS. 

My Favorites 

I absolutely LOVE the sunshine!☀ Find me outside all summer long.😎 Tropical destination vacations are on my bucket list. I want to visit as many as I can!🌴I am a big sports fan, especially football.🏈 Music keeps me going. I typically have music playing most of the day. 🎶
