The RHS Library Media Specialists researched and vetted numerous resources to create the Diversity Resources page, available on the RHS LLC website. The site contains links to articles, books, databases, websites, and videos for students, as well as a Teacher Resource and Lesson Plan section that includes discipline-specific information, film and TV links, and bias resources.
The RHS Reading Department is proud to announce that it was awarded an LGBTQ+ affirming "Rainbow Library" text set by the Rainbow Library Community Read Project. This award is sponsored by the Connecticut Chapter of GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network), which focuses on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ+ students. Additionally, the inclusion of an RHS Rainbow Library directly supports our school's mission of cultivating a highly engaging and personalized learning environment that encourages individual growth, resilience, citizenship, and empathy. Please see Mr. Griffith, Mrs. Silver, or Mr. Rapczynski for more information.
