Physics Study Resources
Here are some websites that you may find helpful when studying physics. If you know of any study resources you like, let me know and I'll list them here!
Physics Review Sites:
Flipping Physics - Videos covering a great deal of content with engaging visuals, demonstrations and discussion. Lots of self-made tie-dye outfits.
The Physics Classroom - A wealth of information on all physics topics. The tutorials explain concepts directly and with good visual examples. There are also interactive and practice questions to review with.
Twu Physics - A veteran AP Physics teacher goes over everything. Concepts, Problem Solving, Demonstrations, Example Multiple Choice and Free Response. She does it all!
Earl Haig Physics Problem Solving Videos - Two dudes with a chalkboard going over the basic problem solving method for a whole bunch of physics problems. They don’t have everything yet, but what they do have is well made, easy to understand, and great review.
A-Plus Physics - Great videos that go over both concepts and problem solving in physics. There’s also practice problems and notes available.
Professor Matt Anderson - In addition to having the coolest glowing marker board ever, he does a good job of reviewing concepts succinctly and showing examples.
Hyper Physics - A hyperlinked concept map of all concepts in physics and related equations. Great for quick reference. Also good for chasing down related ideas to stuff your working on. Some even have example problems. If you’re one of those folks who reads a Wikipedia article and likes clicking on all the related links, you’ll enjoy this.
Miss Carlson's Flipped AP Physics Website - Flipped classroom videos in a powerpoint style. Great for reviewing concepts.
Learn AP Physics - Some nice overview material and links to associated content from multiple sources. You can sign up for an AP question a day in your e-mail to keep you on your toes throughout the year.
Physics Simulations:
PhET - A collection of online physics simulations, some of which are used in class. Explore and have fun!
Phun - The 2D Physics Sandbox! A downloadable program that allows you to create and manipulate objects and environments in a physics engine in real time.
Math Concepts:
Vector Cross Products and Dot Products - Simple explanation with nice visuals. For example in physics - Torque is a Cross Product and Work is a Dot Product
