Spirit week was fantastic!

Students showed their spiriti in a variety of competitions including theme day dress up competition., Trivia challenge lunches, doorway decorating, and fundraising. At the end of the week 6th grade won by 1 POINT over the 7th grade. Winners also included the charities which received over $650 in donations. Danbury Animal Welfare Society, Ridgefield Social Services, and The Fragile X Foundation were beneficiaries of the funds raised. An additional highlight was the three on three hoops grade level tournaments. Winners and All-Stars competed against the faculty in a hard fought game. The faculty was victorious for the first time in 6 years! The students went easy on them!

Students and faculty raised $850 for the United Nations International Children's Fund in support of the children and families of Ukraine.

Our first event of the school year was a "Hats on for Hurricane Relief." Students and staff paid a $1 donation to wear hats all day at school. All donations were sent to the Red Cross in support of their Hurricane Ida Relief Fund. We raised over $500!

At East Ridge Middle School we invite ALL students to be a part of promoting school pride and school spirit through active engagement in the student council. There are NO elections. All are welcome. Feel free to speak with an advisor or simply come to a meeting.
