Grade 6 English Language Arts is a reading and writing-centered course in which you will increasingly become a more willing and able writer and reader. You will focus on narrative, descriptive, and analytical writing. Throughout the year you will read novels, short stories, poems, and essays and experience the challenge of writing about these works using revision, re-writing, and proofreading. Reading strategies, grammatical skill instruction, and vocabulary development will be woven into this experience.
You will work hard, think hard, and leave 6th grade a better reader, writer, listener, speaker, viewer, and thinker!
