STEM Expectations for 2025-2026
STEM Lesson Integration
Every K–8 student will experience FIVE or more STEM lessons during the school year.
Lessons may be delivered by any content area teacher, including Art, Music, PE, Media, Guidance, CTE, Lab, AIG, EC, etc.
Lesson Documentation & Feedback

Teachers will document STEM lessons with Google surveys in lesson tracker. ✅ LINK
Students will take a STEM lesson experience Google survey. (At least a sample of the class need to produce data.) ✅LINK
Teachers will integrate Global STEM Challenges and connect them with a STEM/CTE Career Connection.
Teachers will participate in STEM walk-throughs to share best practices and strengthen instruction. LINK
Teachers, Grade Level, or School will be recognized and receive STEM experience or tool for their work.
STEM Community Events
One or more STEM night(s) will happen at each K-8 school.
TWO or MORE teams from each school will engage participants to be innovative at the STEM Showcase, April 23rd at the Cole Auditorium. Open to the public. LINK
STEM Ambassador Engagement
Schools will build STEM / Tech Squads with key stakeholders to foster innovation and strengthen 21st century learning for all students.
Ambassadors will meet with STEM Coordinator to analyze STEM data and attend district meetings. LINK
One teacher from each school attends a STEM Conference / Training

Robotics Program Expansion
Every K-8 school will have at least 2 robotics clubs/teams at their school with a minimum of four students per team. LINK
Model STEM Schools Initiative
Rockingham Middle and Washington Street will become model STEM schools over the next two years.
