The timeline below features the major events in Ancient Greek history, from 800 BCE to its fall in 146 BCE. This can be used throughout the unit on Ancient Greece, involving SOL 3.3. Students will see the spread of advancements over time in this ancient civilization, and will be able to make connections between these advancements in Greek culture and how we use these today (the Olympic games, formation of democracy, architectural influences from the Parthenon).
