Vision Statement
Music is an essential part of life and it is integral in the development of a person as a whole. I believe that having the opportunity to engage in musical experiences in crucial for a child's development. Music incorporates all aspects of a child's learning, from the physical action of playing instruments to the mathematical skills needed to keep a beat. These skills can directly transfer to other areas of their curriculum. Music is also essential to a student's social-emotional learning because it provides a creative outlet for students to express themselves, explore their personal interests, and make sense of their own experiences.
