This year your child's classroom will be co-taught by a General Education teacher (Mrs. Labosky) as well as a Special Education teacher (Mrs. Mock)!
Co-Teaching is when two certified teachers are present in the classroom and work together through the teaching process. The teaching process includes the planning, teaching, and assessing of the students. Students often have different learning styles and preferences. Co-Teaching allows those different needs to be met more easily. Students have the opportunity to receive additional help when needed or may participate in meaningful extension activities led by a teacher. Though commonly misunderstood, our classroom has many different levels of learning so we differentiate how we teach in order to meet all students' needs.
