We have completed our novel, Because of Winn-Dixie, by Kate DiCamillo. Students will conduct their last literature circle meeting on Ch. 21-26 Tuesday. They are student-led groups that help to enhance comprehension and engagement by focusing on specific chapters of a novel. Students will be assigned a specific role for each literature circle meeting. The roles are as follows: discussion director, literary luminary, vocabulary extender, illustrator, and connector. 

Students will complete an AR test on Because of Winn-Dixie on Tuesday, May 26. These points will count towards their fourth marking period AR point total. This ten point score will also count towards their reading grade. On Tuesday and Wednesday the students will watch the movie, Because of Winn-Dixie.
