Updating your Chromebook's Operating System

You can check for updates yourself!

1. Once you are logged in to your Chromebook, click your account photo.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Menu, About Chrome OS.
4. Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll see which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook is using.
5. Click Check for Updates.
6. If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.

Installing App Updates

If you see a notification that says "Updates available" on the bottom right of your screen, click Update or Update all.

If you don’t see this notification:

1. In the left corner of your screen, click the App Launcher or swipe up from the bottom of your screen.
2. Click on the Google Play Store.
3. Select the top left button to expand the menu.
4. Select "My School Apps" and then Update all.
