Biology 1

Welcome to Biology! In this class, we will be delving into the fundamentals of life & what it takes to sustain life. Students will be designing & carrying out extensive science experiments throughout this course. I have very high expectations for each of my students, and my goal is to challenge them to gain a deeper understanding about the world around them, as well as the process of science itself.

Success in Biology 1 will depend on the commitment and self-discipline of the individual student. Students are responsible for remaining on task, keeping up with course readings and assignments, participating in all laboratory activities, and striving for excellence on all course work. It is the goal of this course to introduce students to the foundations of scientific inquiry, and ultimately give them the tools necessary to apply what they learn in the classroom to their everyday lives and future careers.
