In high school, students must meet academic and attendance requirements. State law requires a minimum of 120 hours of seat time for a one-credit class and 60 hours of seat time for half-credit classes. Seat Time is an opportunity for students who exceed the allotted seat time to earn credit by State Policy. If a student doesn't complete their Seat Time, regardless of their grade in the class, they will fail.
NO MORE THAN 5 ABSENCES IN A SEMESTER-LONG CLASS.
NO MORE THAN 3 ABSENCES IN A "SKINNY" OR 1/2 CREDIT CLASS.
NO MORE THAN 10 ABSENCES IN A YEARLONG CLASS.
