Since 1971 Spring Valley AFJROTC has been carrying out the mission of all JROTC programs - Developing better citizens of character, dedicated to serving their nation and community - A common misconception of many JROTC programs is that they are aimed at recruiting future servicemen and women. We simply aim to produce a better quality of people, of American citizens. Our program is designed to teach each cadet personal skills that are vital to success in any field. We are the catalyst that eases the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Our instructors bring their knowledge of military customs, decorum, and discipline to the forefront of the classroom.-Mention work ethic, and three c's, service oriented, other-people minded
SVHSAFJROTC Cadets were asked how long they have been in the program and why they kept coming back every year.
C/2nd Lieutenant Alexis Byrd - This is Cadet Byrd and I'm the officer of public affairs. I've been in AFJROTC for 2 years and have been promoted to Tech. Sergeant. In the program, my experience has been positive and taught me leadership skills and lifelong advice. I have made many friends and made memories that will teach me peer skills and further my Air Force career.
