Library Policies & Procedures
Check Out
Students in grades CD - 5 are encouraged to check out books during our open hours.
CD & Kindergarten students - may check out 1 book for 2 weeks
1st grade - 5th grade students - may check out 2 books for 2 weeks
Overdue Materials & Fines
After the allotted time for check out, materials will be considered overdue. There is no daily fine for these materials, however, if materials are more than 2 months overdue, the cost of the resource will be applied as a fine. Once students have a fine, they will not be able to check out any more new materials until that fine is paid. Students who lose or damage materials will be charged for the cost of the resource.
Access to the Library
Students are encouraged to visit the library during our hours, either individually, in small groups, or in classes. Each week classes have the option to sign up for a read aloud, check out, and lesson. However, students that need to replenish their book supply may come in at any time on their own, per individual classroom procedures. Students also have the opportunity to check in/out during the following 7:10-7:40 rotation:
Monday-5th Grade
Tuesday- 4th Grade
Wednesday- 3rd Grade
Thursday- 2nd Grade
Friday- 1st Grade
