Course Description: Spanish 2 (CP)
Students enrolled in this course have successfully completed the level I course at the high school or middle school level. This course provides students with opportunities to continue the development of their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students participate in simple conversational situations by combining and recombining learned elements of the language orally and in writing. They are able to satisfy basic survival needs and interact on issues of everyday life in the present time and past time inside and outside of the classroom setting. They compose sentences which narrate, describe, compare, and summarize familiar topics that relate to the target culture. Focus is placed on understanding main ideas. They develop a better understanding of the similarities and differences between cultures and languages and they examine the influence of the beliefs and values on the target culture (s).
Credits: 1 Unit
Prerequisites: Spanish 1 or equivalent.
All vocabulary quizzes are administered using the Quia.com website.

Tutoring available by appointment. There is also free tutoring available in the library every Thursday from 4-5 P.M. Please make sure you are in the library before they lock the door at 4 P.M.
