Google Meet Expectations: Starting the school year this year will be a new experience for all of us. There are expectations for all students including:

  • Punctuality: Log in on time; attendance will be taken at the beginning of class.

  • Be in a quiet place with nothing inappropriate in the background

  • Be prepared with computer charged and all class materials handy.

  • Wear appropriate clothing. If you cannot wear something to school you should not wear it during the virtual sessions.

  • Mute your mic unless you are asking a question.

  • Participate as you would if you were sitting in the classroom. You will need to ask questions verbally, because I will be up teaching at the board and will not be able to see the chat function. Sessions will be recorded and I will be able to see anything that was put into chat, so nothing inappropriate.

  • Be respectful of all other students and of me. Please, no keyboard cowboys during the live sessions.

  • Communicate clearly

Attendance Statement:

Attendance will be taken daily in PowerSchool. During required synchronous learning, students must show their faces at the beginning and end of class.

Students who have an unexcused absence from a synchronous class meeting, must complete a Daily Participation Assignment (DPA) for each class they missed to be marked present. The DPA can be located with this link. The DPA will be the same reflection form for all classes.

Students who attend "live" sessions will not have to complete the DPA.

Note: Changes and corrections will be based on student's participation in the synchronous class lesson or student's submission of the DPA.
