Welcome to AP Physics!  This is a two semester course designed to be equivalent to  a 2 semester algebra based college physics course. (We'll touch on the calculus though) We will prepare for both the AP Physics1 and the AP Physics2 exams.  This course will introduce you to the basic concepts, techniques, principles and vocabulary in physics at a college level.  It will give you a good background in mechanical, fluid, electrical and thermal systems as we get hands on experience through labs.  A strong math background is needed for this class -we will be using trigonometry and multivariable algebra as well as using a little calculus.  Learning to think logically, use critical thinking skills, recognizing pertinent given information and then solving problems using connecting physical concepts are key to this class.
