WHAT?

A MakerSpace is a place where students have an opportunity to explore their own interests, learn to use tools and materials (both physical and virtual), and develop creative projects all while learning new and obscure scientific principles and phenomena. The MakerSpace club will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) concepts that are not usually discussed in school. Our first lesson: 3D modeling and printing!

WHO?

Anyone with an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and/or a passion to learn more about lesser-known or less available scientific and technological theories are welcome to join the Blythewood MakerSpace.

WHEN & WHERE?

The MakerSpace club will meet once every other Wednesday in the Cyber Center starting on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 4:00pm - 5:00pm. For all further dates, please reference the MakerSpace calendar.

Due to our teacher (Tillman Dillon) being a senior, MakerSpace will not be continuing following the 2019-20 school year. If you would like to take control of this club and continue its presence in the school in the following years, please contact Tillman Dillon at 10025109@richland2.org.

WHY?

There are many real world concepts and STEM principles that go unrecognized throughout a student’s learning experience that could greatly change their career path in the future. Through the MakerSpace club, students will be able to fully immerse themselves in STEM projects in order to spark a true passion for STEM.

WHO IS LEADING THIS CLUB?
