About LAW
The Leadership Academy at Wright, or the LAW Magnet Program, is a magnet school within a school program that focuses on developing leadership skills in children in grades sixth through eighth. LAW offers students an advanced honors level curriculum. In fact all Law students have the opportunity to leave middle school with at least 1 high school credit and many will leave middle school with up to 5 high school credits. The rigorous honors curriculum is supplimented with Core Knowledge curriculum standards . LAW is able to accomplish the studies needed with the additional curriculum during our invaluable Extended Tuesday activities.
The Leadership Academy at Wright prides itself on developing the whole student. While the students learn the traditional units of study for an honors student, they also get immersed in leadership opportunities, music, art, athletics, teamwork, service, and so much more. Students are taken off campus for field studies to provide them with real world experiences.
Our mission is to cultivate well-rounded students who thrive academically, emotionally, and personally, empowering them to develop strong leadership skills that foster a deep sense of citizenship in our dynamic 21st-century global society.
