Athletic Director

Athletic Director, Jason Powell, is entering his 5^th year as the Athletic Director of Westwood High School. During his tenure as Athletic Director, Coach Powell was named Region IV 4A Athletic Director of the Year in 2014-15, and he and his staff have been awarded the Award of Excellence for Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity by the South Carolina High School League twice in the last 3 years. Coach Powell came to Westwood from Richland Northeast High School where he coached Boys Basketball for 19 years (7 years as an Assistant and 11 years as Head Coach). He also served one year as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Spring Valley. Powell’s teams qualified for the playoffs 11 of his 12 years as Head Coach and he finished with a record of 199 wins and 114 losses. Coach Powell is married to Leigh and has two daughters Callie and Natalie.
