Welcome students and parents. I am so grateful to be blessed into service as a teacher for the previous 27 years, where I've taught Government, Economics, Geography, Ancient History, African American History, Modern History, Public Speaking, US History, Honors US History, and AP US History. I've performed as the DJ and announcer for pep rallies, proms, military balls, and basketball games during my time in SC public schools. I've also coached Speech & Debate, and various academic teams.
Teaching is my heart's delight, and it's been my greatest ambition since I was 14 years old. I love it. It's oxygen. I have class photo albums containing every child that I've ever taught, and they are of the most sublime value to me.
I've also worked in the wedding industry for 30+ years as a DJ for the ceremony & reception, officiant for the ceremony, and day - of coordinator. In fact, I've played one role, the other, or all three for 42 former students so far. I lived in SC for most of my life with my wife and my Great Danes. The Great Dane pictured is a favorite of the 6 we've had: Biggie Smalls.
I enjoy cooking, and travel. In fact, I've ventured to South Africa, England, the Netherlands, Egypt, France, and Italy.
My schedule this term includes US History.
