Helenna L. Nelson 

About the Instructor

I am a small town girl from Holly Hill, SC.  I graduated from Francis Marion University (#PatriotPride) with a B.B.A. in Marketing and later from Strayer University with an M.B.A. in Management.  I am certified through the South Carolina PACE program to teach Business Education.  I have been teaching for the last 9 years and it has been nothing short of amazing to be in the classroom!  2025 - 2026 begins year 9 in the classroom!  Prior to teaching I worked in Corporate America as a salesperson for UPS and did freelance marketing for a few companies.  I come with a wealth of business knowledge, as both my parents were entrepreneurs and I am also an entrepreneur with my own marketing and finance consulting company.

I am a self-professed nerd and geek that loves to read, cook, watch anime, and play video games!  I spend my time reading, researching recipes for a family cookbook I am developing, making my own bacon, and playing video games.
