About Ms. Schweickert
Ms. Schweickert is currently in her thirteenth year of teaching band. Upon her arrival at E.L. Wright nine years ago, Ms. Schweickert more than doubled the size of the band program and has since maintained one of the largest middle school band programs in the Midlands. Under her direction, the band program has received the program’s first Outstanding Performance Award in seventeen years and been well-represented at state and local events.
A native of Columbia, Ms. Schweickert attended Hand Middle School and Dreher High School. Ms. Schweickert holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a Performance Certificate from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Education in Divergent Learning degree from Columbia College.
In addition to teaching full time, Ms. Schweickert is an active performer on horn. She performs on a regular basis with the South Carolina Philharmonic, the Aiken Symphony, the Rock Hill Symphony, and the Augusta Symphony.
