Welcome, Families! This website is to provide the families of my students with a platform to keep up with information from my class. I will also add helpful links that will help students practice with content from class and help them move to become proficient in the independent practice of many of our skills from this year.

I have been an educator for 20 years. This is my third year at Spring Valley, and I am super excited! At school, I love learning along with the students while leading them through the literature we read. At home, I am a mom and grandmom.

Parents, you are invited to join our Google Classroom. In Classroom, you will receive a summary of your student's progress and our class assignments. To join, you can have your student add you as the guardian directly into Google Classroom. If that does not work, please email me your email address at wplatt@richland2.org along with your child's name. I will then send you the invitation link to our class.

Parent Portal
Parent Portal
Your student has access to Parent Portal. He/she can keep track of his/her grades and attendance. The Parent View in Parent Portal shows more details and parental controls than your student's view. Also, Parent Portal viewed on a desktop computer shows more details than the PowerSchool Mobile app. If you would like to receive email notifications and alerts from Parent Portal when your student's grades are updated, click on Email Notifications in the left navigation column.
