Why Career Development? First of all, I love watching high school students express their energy and creativity!! I started working in Richland 2 School District as a Substitute Teacher, Discipline Secretary and Career Specialist at E.L. Wright Middle School. I am very passionate about giving students the tools to help them plan their futures. When I was presented with the opportunity to come to Westwood, I eagerly accepted the position because I knew my work would have an immediate impact on students who would be transitioning into the workforce, college or the military.

I began my career in Information Technology as a Senior Business Consultant and Project Manager here in Columbia, SC. I have also earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration. I worked in Richland School District One as a Parent Educator and earned my Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certification. I have worked here at Westwood as the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) for five plus years. Ms. Myers and I serve ninth (9th) through twelfth (12th) grade students here at Westwood High School.
