Meet the Team
This is my 14th year in education, and my second year as a Blythewood Bengal! Previously, I taught grades 2nd through 5th in the district, and this is my fifth year as a school librarian. I look forward to helping you find resources that meet your interests, academic, and instructional needs.
My husband and I have two daughters. Our oldest is a junior at Winthrop University, and our youngest is a sophomore at BHS.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters in Library and Information Science. I am a member of the South Carolina School Librarians Association and the Black Caucus of the American Library Association.
Please contact me with any questions. I would love to hear from you.
I have worked in education for 11 years and this is my 7th year with Richland School District 2. I am excited to begin my first year as a Blythewood Bengal.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree and my Master (MLIS) and Specialist (SLIS) of Library and Information Science degrees from The University of South Carolina. I am an active member of The South Carolina Association of School Librarians.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, traveling, dancing, and attending sporting events with my 3 sons. I love being a high school librarian because I have the unique opportunity to support literacy, collaborate with teachers, teach research and information literacy skills, and help students become lifelong learners.
Hi, I am the Library Assistant at Blythewood High School and am excited to begin my second year as a Bengal. This year marks my 10th year with the district.
I have lived in the Columbia area for over 20 years and have been married to my husband for almost 20 years. We have four children, including a sophomore at Blythewood High School and a recent graduate.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and enjoy helping students discover resources, explore new ideas, and develop a love of learning.
