Course Description:
AVID stands for Advancement via Individual Determination; therefore, students will need to understand that are to key their success in the program. This course is designed to prepare and educate the determined, college prep students while using rigorous curriculum, community involvement and school/community services in order to enroll in a four-year college. It also includes instruction in study skills, organization skills, communication skills, reading comprehension , writing, collaboration, inquiry and test-taking strategies.
