Colorado faces enormous opportunities—and serious challenges. Every bill I consider comes back to a few simple questions:
Will this make life more affordable?
Will it strengthen families and local communities?
Will it protect our freedoms and constitutional rights?
Will it leave Colorado stronger for the next generation?
These twelve priorities reflect the values I have carried throughout my military service, my years as an Elbert County Commissioner, and now as your State Representative. Click any topic below to learn more.
Colorado families are working harder than ever while government policies continue driving up the cost of housing, groceries, energy, insurance, and everyday life. Affordability isn't about bigger government, it's about removing the barriers that make life unnecessarily expensive.
Small businesses, family farms, and entrepreneurs create opportunity, not government. I'll continue fighting to reduce unnecessary regulations, strengthen our workforce, and make Colorado a place where businesses grow, invest, and create good-paying jobs.
Agriculture is the economic and cultural foundation of House District 56. I'll continue defending family farms, ranches, water rights, private property, and the rural communities that keep Colorado strong.
Every family deserves safe neighborhoods, accountable criminals, and first responders who have the resources they need to protect our communities. Public safety begins by standing with victims and supporting those who wear the badge.
Government should live within its means just like Colorado families do. I'll continue defending TABOR, protecting taxpayers, opposing unnecessary tax increases, and ensuring government remains accountable to the people it serves.
Every road, bridge, broadband connection, and utility corridor helps move our economy forward. I'll continue advocating for practical infrastructure investments that improve safety, strengthen rural Colorado, and respect taxpayers.
No Coloradan should have to choose between affordable healthcare and quality healthcare. I'll continue fighting to strengthen rural hospitals, recruit healthcare professionals, reduce costs, and expand access without sacrificing patient choice.
Parents, not government, are a child's first and most important teachers. I support educational excellence, parental rights, local school control, school choice, and preparing every student for success whether that path leads to college, the military, or the skilled trades.
Colorado's communities are unique, and they deserve solutions that reflect local needs, not one-size-fits-all mandates from Denver. I'll continue defending local government, private property, and the right of communities to shape their own future.
The oath I took was to uphold the Constitutions of the United States and Colorado, not a political party or special interest. I will continue defending free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, due process, private property, and the freedoms that define America.
Water is life in eastern Colorado. I'll continue protecting water rights, supporting responsible stewardship, expanding storage, defending agriculture, and ensuring our natural resources remain strong for future generations.
America has always welcomed legal immigrants seeking freedom and opportunity. I support secure borders, lawful immigration, cooperation with federal authorities, and policies that protect public safety while honoring the dignity of every person who follows the path to American citizenship.
These issues are more than campaign promises, they are the principles that guide every vote I cast under the Gold Dome.
Whether I'm debating legislation, meeting with constituents, or working alongside local leaders, my goal remains the same:
Protect our freedoms. Strengthen our communities. Defend rural Colorado. Leave our children a state that's more affordable, more prosperous, and more free than the one we inherited.
I invite you to explore each issue in greater detail and see not only where I stand, but why I stand there.
