Yifan Zhu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisville (UofL). Prior to joining UofL in August 2026, he served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Nanoengineering at Rice University, working with Prof. Jun Lou. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Rice University, and his B.S. in Materials Chemistry from the Special Class for the Gifted Young (SCGY) at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
