PROBLEM STATEMENT
Within the pharmaceutical industry there is a sector for the classification and selection of capsules, it involves a very important process but its manual separation makes its production times and costs in the long run higher, since it is an operator who select with molds and place all capsules depending on their size or shape in the container to be distributed; This can mean in some cases an error in the number of capsules in a container, which in turn leads to the mishandling of prescribed medications or the mixing of different capsules within the same unit.
OBJECTIVES
General objective:
Design a capsule sorting and filling machine to help the pharmaceutical sector, facilitating the classification of drugs, speeding up the process that is usually carried out manually.
Specific objectives
-Reduce drug capsule times for pharmaceutical companies
-Generate more units increasing profits for companies
-Facilitate the work of the operators in charge of selecting capsules
JUSTIFICATION
The proposed research seeks, through the realization of a sorting and filling machine, the solution to the problem of selecting medicines in the pharmaceutical industry and in turn streamline the product filling process and increase profits by reducing production times.
In such a way that we will develop a machine capable of meeting the needs of the company and large-scale production, passing through different stations within itself, to avoid the loss of time that normally affects when a user performs the task. manually.
DESCRIPTION
The empty containers will enter the machine through a complete conveyor belt, they enter the first phase, which is the filling of the containers, which is done through a sensor that detects when the container is in front of it and stops the machine so that the dispensers stop. fall into the containers their respective medicine (there will be 3 types of capsules, 6 dispensers) until another sensor detects the necessary amount that the container needs and stops filling, turn on the band again to continue, then to the second phase that It is capped (each type of medicine will have its distinctive color) it will be made with a piston that places the prefabricated sealed cap by means of a certain pressure, as the next stage would be the labeling that will work through a system incorporated into the machine that places the respective label according to the medicine to the container, now the palletizing of the product would follow, which consists of dividing the band into three different s according to medicine and join packages at the end of each band to be able to pass to the last stage, which is product packaging that works with a system that joins the package and seals it in a plastic adherent to the horizontal sides of the containers and thus it would end the process and will be ready for the commercialization of these
BACKGROUND
The Pharmaceutical Industry is the sector dedicated to the research and preparation of medicinal chemical products for the prevention or treatment of diseases. In this great sector, some companies produce pharmaceutical chemical products in bulk (primary production), while all of them prepare them for medical use through methods known as secondary production, highly automated and specialized, which allow the manufacture of dosed drugs. in its various presentations for the administration of those who need it. This industry arose from a series of diverse activities related to obtaining substances used in medicine.
