In the initiative of the Expo project, it has been based on the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) given by the UN. Since they have been in force from 2015 to 2030. Trying to occupy at least 3 of the 17, there are current and approved. That being said, our theme as a group is Mechanized Guillotine, because through time or the history of humanity, it has always been manually and never mechanized; because it will always be occupied for various works independent of any one. But before this what is a guillotine? The guillotine was a machine used to apply capital punishment by beheading. Although it is popularly associated with France and the revolution of 1789, during which it occupied a fundamental role.
In the project of the mechanized guillotine we have tried to go ratifying the definition that was previously had, since in the twentieth century was known as a torture machine to which was invented by Dr. Joseph Guillotin. Since by an order of the group of Napoleon Duarte wanted a machine of punishment for the French revolution in the countries of Germany France and Sweden England were occupied for that benefit.
Having said all this we wanted to promote the guillotine in an effective way for what industries and companies achieve their goal to achieve their projects in less time, as our project is to be apart a guillotine wants to be a multi-function tool to what we mean by this, well it can be, that cuts paper wood, aluminum iron and platen 1/4 onwards.
First of all what is a guillotine?
The guillotine was a machine used to apply capital punishment by decapitation.
Although it is popularly associated with France and the Revolution of 1789, during which it played a key role (especially in the period of the Terror), it was also used in other European countries such as the United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden, Italy and Germany until well into the 20th century.
Why did we choose this project?
Everything arose while our team was in the welding workshop, we observed a manual shear to cut platen, we saw the effort of more that was made so we took it as a basis to make a small version of that same machine, so for its design we took the manual for platen and to make it work better we took one for paper, our main idea was to change the way of cutting but how? Between different ideas, between consultations with teachers, it was finally decided to use a gear system to save effort and make the machine easy and safe to use.
Why is our project better to shear?
As a problem we saw the other effort and the little security, from that we added the gearbox, sprocket bands and the rudder, it is better since it works like a shear, it fulfills its function but with improved aspects, and thus we fix the problem that we had silver, the work of more and the security
Materials:
3 Belts
3 gears
9 Nuts
9 bolts
One flywheel
Process:
First we will take a manual shear as our reference of our project, this formed with platens with a thickness according to the needs of the user, either with platens of 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8, already with these parts we can place the blade and the drive lever that will allow the cutting of the paper, now comes our extra part, we will place a set of pinions and their respective bands that will give us the connection to what is to a rudder with a handle, in which to be able to cut we will make a counterclockwise movement, as protection we create a bucket with platens to protect the manipulator and the piece.
After developing the prototype made in sketchup, we had the result shown in the image carousel; we can conclude the following:
That as the pieces were being made, we took into account all the locations of each one of them.
The guillotine is a process in which a series of steps must be carried out and have knowledge about it so that it can be carried out correctly and subsequently achieved an excellent result at the time of cutting.
