The development of architectural projects in El Salvador seeks an alternative to solve the growing housing deficit in the country by finding a way to create spaces where families can meet their basic needs and at the same time have a home where they feel safe and protected from the social and natural environment in which they live.
In this project we present architectural styles that blend with nature in a harmonious way and through these we can implement modern technologies and less polluting forms in buildings. In order to make a correct approach to this project it was necessary to read about the assigned topic in web pages, and the information that was given to us in the classes; it was also important to look for information about the policies on housing habitat in El Salvador.
In the design process, we were given a plot of land to work on it and a number of people who would live in each house, in this case 4 people, based on the above we designed a functional project and able to give a home to the people who inhabit it. In the research previously carried out, it was decided to build a high-rise house, that is, an apartment tower, since the land has an area of 15,074.63 m2, three apartment towers of 55.00 m x 24.80 m were placed, in order to provide housing for more people while possible, each apartment has spaces to support the needs of the inhabitants, plus a subway parking that has a space for 308 cars, plus a recreational green area, and a sports court.
The architectural styles used are neo-brutalist (modern brutalism) and organic, not just one was chosen because it is expected that this design is innovative as an architectural proposal, with these two styles, in addition to seeking that people have a good view of the combination of concrete with vegetation, an ecological purpose was sought by placing solar green roofs, to generate energy to be used in the apartments and at the same time maintain the ecosystems.
To conclude in the project that represents an architectural design capable of supporting the needs of the inhabitants of the country and an ecological way to maintain ecosystems in a building; with the option of housing in height and the selected architectural styles this project meets the function, form and technology that is expected of architecture.
